Candy for the eyes

Yesterday I received two boxes with fabric.
It's like Christmas every time that happens... and when some of the fabrics sparkle like this... well, it's very hard not to pu the rotary cutter in to them and begin with yet another project... even though I had promised myself NOT to begin with somethung new until I at least had ficished one of the other projects... I always fail there...

Ah well.. there are worse things to fail in than to have too many projects...

Some people keep other things than clothes in their drawers

This morning when i got upstairs to say somethiong to my oldest son I saw that his drawer wasn't properly closed... This is not very unusual... he's a normal teenager and as well as taking emty glasses downstairs and put them in to the dishwasher... closing a drawer can be very difficult...

Anyway... this morning I spotted something that ususally is not there...

It was one of the cats who had decided that the drawer was a perfect bed for her... and she did seem to be comfortable enough anyway!

I wonder if cats ever suffer from stress?

At the moment I'm quite busy preparing for my Summer Quilting Camp, which means cutting fabrics and trying to make as many samples as possible for those who attend to get inspiration from.

Yesterday I was going to make a small wall hanging, making it simple and just do a little bit of quilting. Well... it didn't go quite as I planned... before I knew it the whole thing was covered with free motion quilting!

This was made on my MC6600, but I used the very much loved free motion quilting foot that comes with the Horizon and that can be bought to all other machines. I really do love that foot!

Now it's time to get ready and get to work! It's Saturday and thet means only three ours but I have a feeling I'll be there a little longer today!

Second attempt... adding pictures

OK... so writing works... now let's see how my pictures look when I upload them..

Here's my first attempt to do free motion quilting on the Horizon. Sooo much fun!

I used some leftovers to make some flower like shapes and tried the echo quilting foot.

Since we were in Norway and it was May 17th which is their National Day we had to decorate our machines... and the Horizon well matched the Norwegian colours I think...

First attempt

For a while now I've been thinking about starting a blog in English as well as the one I have in Swedish... so I'll just make this very short to see how it looks...
